Part 1: The Collision That Started Everything
August 2025.
I was racing in iRacing. Again. Someone hit me. Again. And iRacing’s “no-fault” incident system penalized me. Again.
If you’ve never raced in iRacing, here’s what you need to know: It’s a hardcore racing simulator. Real physics. Real tracks. Real competition. And a “safety rating” system that’s supposed to keep racing clean.
Except it doesn’t always work.
The Problem with No-Fault
iRacing uses a “no-fault” incident system. When cars collide, both drivers get penalized. Doesn’t matter who caused it. Both drivers lose safety rating points.
The logic makes sense in theory: “Can’t always determine fault, so penalize both drivers equally.”
In practice? Frustrating as hell.
You’re racing clean. Someone dive-bombs into turn 1. Hits you. Spins you out. You both get penalized.
After the tenth time this happened to me, I thought:
“This is a solvable problem.”
The Idea
Modern racing sims have incredible telemetry data:
- Position (X, Y, Z coordinates)
- Velocity (speed and direction)
- Acceleration/braking
- Steering angle
- Timestamps (millisecond precision)
All captured in real-time for every car on track.
If I could analyze this data, I could determine:
- Who was accelerating into the corner?
- Who was braking?
- Who changed direction suddenly?
- Who was at fault?
Not a guess. Mathematical certainty.
Enter MotoIQ17
I started building.
Not because I thought it would be a product. Not because I had grand ambitions.
Just because I was frustrated and thought: “I can fix this.”
The project: MotoIQ17
The goal: Build ML models that analyze real-time telemetry to determine collision fault.

The reality: I had no idea what I was getting into.
The First Real Partnership with Claude and GitHub Copilot
Here’s where the story actually begins.
I’m a product manager with experience in cloud operations and technology leadership. I know AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines. I can oversee infrastructure builds all day.
Machine learning models? Not my core expertise.
I could have spent months learning ML theory. Reading papers. Taking courses.
Or I could partner with tools that already knew it.
I opened Claude and GitHub Copilot.
But not for quick questions. For real collaboration:
“I want to build ML models that analyze racing telemetry data to determine collision fault. I have real-time position, velocity, acceleration data for every car. How would you approach this problem?”
What Happened Next
Claude didn’t just give me an answer.
Claude gave me a systematic approach, while GitHub Copilot helped turn those ideas into code seamlessly:
- Data Collection Strategy
- What telemetry points are critical?
- What’s the minimum data needed?
- How to handle edge cases?
- Feature Engineering
- Relative velocity between cars
- Angle of approach
- Braking/acceleration patterns
- Change in trajectory
- Model Architecture
- Start with rule-based logic (simple cases)
- Layer in ML for complex scenarios
- Use time-series analysis
- Consider ensemble methods
- Validation Strategy
- How to label training data?
- What defines “ground truth”?
- How to handle disputed incidents?
This wasn’t a tutorial. This was partnership.
Building MotoIQ17 Together
Over the next few weeks, Claude, GitHub Copilot, and I built MotoIQ17:
Week 1: Data Pipeline
- Capture telemetry data from iRacing
- Store in structured format
- Build real-time processing pipeline
Week 2: Feature Engineering
- Calculate relative velocities
- Detect sudden direction changes
- Identify braking/acceleration patterns
- Build time-series features
Week 3: Model Development
- Started with rule-based system (80% accuracy)
- Added ML models for complex cases
- Ensemble approach for final decision
- Achieved >90% accuracy on test data
Week 4: Validation
- Reviewed 100+ real incidents
- Compared MotoIQ17 decisions vs human judgment
- Refined edge cases
- System working
The First Major Milestone
MotoIQ17 worked.
Not perfectly. But well enough that I could take an incident, feed it telemetry data, and get:
- Who was at fault
- Confidence level
- Explanation of the decision
- Recommended penalty
This was the first major milestone in my partnership with Claude and GitHub Copilot.
We’d built something real. Not just code. Not just a tutorial. A working system.
The Realization
As MotoIQ17 took shape, I started thinking about what happens if this actually takes off.
If racers start using it. If it gains traction. If it needs support.
It would be just me, Claude, and GitHub Copilot.
And suddenly, I had a flashback.
The McDonald’s Memory
2022. I was working in Cloud Operations at McDonald’s.
We ran a 24/7 support operation. AWS infrastructure. Terraform deployments. Kubernetes clusters. The whole stack.
The phone rang at 2 AM. “Production is down.”
At 4 AM. “Deployment failed.”
At 6 AM. “Need urgent access.”
At 8 AM. Regular work day starts.
This was my life.
I remember thinking: “This is neither feasible nor scalable.”
You can’t build a company where one person carries the pager 24/7. Where one person knows everything. Where one person is the single point of failure.
It doesn’t scale. It burns you out. It fails.
The Connection
Sitting there with MotoIQ17 working, I realized:
If MotoIQ17 succeeds, I’m back in that McDonald’s support role.
- 24/7 user questions
- Deployment issues
- Bug reports
- Feature requests
- Technical support
Just me. Forever. Until I burn out.
This can’t be the model.
The Spark of HelixCloudOps
That’s when the idea hit:
“What if the system could support itself?”
Not me answering questions at 2 AM.
Customer-facing AI agents for CloudOps answering questions at 2 AM.
Not me deploying updates manually.
DevOps agents deploying updates automatically.
Not me debugging issues one at a time.
Testing agents catching issues before they ship.
Not me documenting features when I have time.
Documentation agents writing docs as features are built.
💡 The Vision Evolution:
The initial focus was on customer-facing agents for CloudOps to handle support and operations seamlessly. As we started getting our product to production faster, the dev team aspect emerged—building autonomous development teams that never sleep. This dev team vertical is another exciting avenue, set to be customer-ready in Q4 2026 or Q1 2027.
That was August 2025.
HelixCloudOps was born.
The Vision Takes Shape
I realized something fundamental:
The problem isn’t unique to MotoIQ17.
Every founder faces this:
- Too much work
- Not enough time
- Not enough resources
- Not enough expertise
- Single point of failure
What if instead of hiring a team (expensive, slow, limited hours), you could:
- Deploy AI agents (instant, scalable, 24/7)
- Each with specialized skills
- Each that learns from every task
- Each that gets better over time
- Working together like a real team
Not replacing developers. Augmenting them.
The Core Insight
From my years in technology and cloud operations, I knew the real problem:
Managed Service Providers (MSPs) have a skill gap.
When you work with MSPs:
- Engineers rotate in and out
- Skill levels vary wildly
- They don’t know YOUR tech stack
- You spend time explaining your context
- Again. And again. And again.
What if agents could learn your tech stack?
Not just have general knowledge like “here’s how AWS works.”
But specific knowledge like:
- “Here’s how YOUR infrastructure works”
- “Here’s YOUR deployment patterns”
- “Here’s YOUR security policies”
- “Here’s what works in YOUR environment”
Agents that actually understand your context.
The Difference
This wasn’t vibe coding.
This wasn’t “throw AI at the problem and hope.”
This was systematic:
- Identify the real problem: MSP skill gap, not enough resources
- Design the solution: AI agents with learned skills
- Build the infrastructure: Learning system, pattern storage
- Validate continuously: Does it actually work better?
- Improve systematically: Capture what works, repeat
Building a machine, not just code.
Why This Matters
I’ve been in tech for years. Multiple roles. Multiple companies.
I’ve seen the same problems everywhere:
Companies want to:
- Reduce costs
- Scale operations
- Do more with less
But teams are asked to:
- Work longer hours
- Handle more projects
- Maintain quality
- Not burn out
Something has to give.
AI agents aren’t about replacing humans.
They’re about making “do more with less” actually possible.
What Made This Click
Three things converged in August 2025:
1. The Technology Finally Exists
Large language models (Claude, GPT-4) are now capable of:
- Understanding complex technical context
- Writing production-quality code
- Learning from examples
- Reasoning about trade-offs
This wasn’t possible 3 years ago.
2. GitHub Copilot Showed the Way
When GitHub Copilot launched, I had an “aha!” moment:
Up until then, I was using code review tools in Visual Studio. Helpful, but limited.
When Copilot hit, suddenly:
- Ideas in my head
- Hit paper (design)
- Hit code (implementation)
Without the usual friction.
That’s when I knew: This can actually work at scale.
3. Claude Became My Partner
I’d been using Claude for months. Quick questions. Code reviews. Documentation help.
But with MotoIQ17, it became different.
We were building together.
Not me asking questions and Claude answering.
Us working through problems together.
That’s when I chose Claude for the backend skills API for my agents.
Not because it was the most popular. Because we’d already proven we could build together.
The Real Breakthrough
The breakthrough wasn’t technical.
It was conceptual.
Instead of asking:
“How do I build agents that can code?”
I asked:
“How do I build agents that can LEARN to code the way MY team codes?”
That’s the difference between generic AI tools and HelixCloudOps.
Generic tools know general patterns.
HelixCloudOps learns YOUR patterns.
Where We Are Today
From that August 2025 frustration with iRacing:
- ✅ MotoIQ17 built – ML models working, >90% accuracy
- ✅ HelixCloudOps designed – 13 specialized agents, learning infrastructure
- ✅ AgenticFlowPro LLC incorporated – Real company, real mission
- ✅ Q3 soft launch planned – 15-20 customers
- ✅ Q4 full launch planned – Scale to market
MotoIQ17 is paused. It proved the concept.
HelixCloudOps is the flagship.
Why I’m Sharing This
As I talk to friends, colleagues, potential customers, I see something:
Fear.
Skepticism.
“AI is going to replace us.”
“AI can’t be trusted.”
“AI will take our jobs.”
I get it. I understand the fear.
But here’s what I know from building MotoIQ17, from working in technology for years, from living through McDonald’s 24/7 support:
The problem isn’t AI replacing humans.
The problem is humans burning out trying to do everything alone.
AI agents aren’t here to take over.
They’re here to help.
That’s the mission. That’s why HelixCloudOps exists.
To help, not replace.
